notes: set somewhere in that notorious time jump. this is a challenge taken from a random sentence at the random sentence generator. the sentence is the title. i recommend using a random sentence as a challenge to anyone that writes, it can turn out some interesting ideas (and funky sentences). i wrote this very hastily last night. perhaps i shouldn't admit to that. too bad, it's out there.

comments, as always, are sincerely appreciated.

title: nothing like you and i
pairing: josh/donna
word count: 654
disclaimer: as my mother has been informing me recently, i own pretty much nothing.
notes: okay, I could not possibly write a full fic right now because its been like, a million years and i have no ideas. BUT, I desperately wanted to write and these guys are really the only ones I feel fully comfortable with, they are like a wonderful old sweatshirt or something, I just love them. recently [info]foreverdreaming  and i were talking about the merits of  very short fics, so I decided to give it a go. and also, I just wrote it in the last hour. it if reads that way, that's why.

and ugh, the formatting is like, nine kinds of eff'ed up. i hate it. the prompt is from [info]1sentence , and I'm not officially doing the challenge (read:lazy, commitment issues), but this was fun anyway. maybe I'll do more.

comments are like plot twists on lost, they make it all worthwhile!

My brother was watching The Presidents and my professor from last fall was on it! I was like, SAY WHAT!?! He was so awesome I missed The Office to go to his class. It was pretty weird seeing him on tv though, I'll be honest.

I'm a really geeky mood. Blame The History Channel. I'm insanely kinda curious, who are people's favorite presidents? Is that only something that geeky people like me have, or do others have guys they love? Out of the 42 we've had? Somebody you like to draw hearts around? Besides Bartlet.

It could just be that I'm a massive dork, which I already knew. But whatevs.

Okay, this I love. I had to share. Stewart's gaff is my favorite.

You know they've been making hillarious goofs since someone first put a camera in someone's face, but since they didn't have dvds and television specials I've honestly never seen any of these guys mess up their lines and dissolve into laughter. It made me very happy.

I like how Jimmy Stewart worked for MGM yet seemed to be contracted out for everything, since this is a Warner reel.

I wasn't going to do this tonight, but my friend's plane is delayed three hours out of Dulles and won't be here till 1am (and I have to get up at 7) and I'm bored.

Speaking of celebrities, I have for you a gigantic black and white picspam of all your favorite dead actors. Or, really, my favorite dead actors (and hey, two are still alive). This is my ultimate classic movie picspam. I was feeling nostalgic, and some chick at work was giving me a hard time for knowing Fred and Ginger made 10 films, so screw that.
Classic movies are awesome.

This picspam focuses on the people, not the movies, and not my lame attempt at humor. I have very little commentary, because, really, what can you say? Its lots of actors - mostly women because they were the ones that did all the photoshoots (seriously, the guys have so few cool photos!). Its all from the early years, nothing from the 70's or 80's, only talented actors when they were young and beautiful and so was Hollywood. Alot of the photos I had never seen before before I found them for this picspam. Alot of them are really cool.

So, yeah. I enjoyed this labor of love.

Title: We'll Find the Message in the Clouds
Pairing: the often imitated, never replicated classic Jay and Dee
Rating: G
Category: Future
Disclaimer: Oh, if I only owned them, what wouldn't I make them do?
Notes: Spontaneous midnight posting. No cheesy Christmas title lyrics for this seasonal whimper of a fic. Its an Idina lyric again, that makes...I've lost count. This thing is proof that Ned and Chuck haven't totally taken over my brain, Josh and Donna are still rambling around in there somewhere. Tenses messed me up, point out glaring errors please.

Comment and let me know if you're still reading these things. :)

I have a craving to watch some old movies. I don't really have the time, but that won't stop me.

Problem is I've seen everything I have a couple times, and I don't feel like just picking something off the AFI list because alot of those aren't really my type of movies.

So if anyone has any recommendations of really good (or even just moderatly okay) classic films, feel free to shout them out. Personal faves or whatev. Cause I don't feel like just turning on TCM and watching whatever is on.

I've also seen basically everything with Kate Hepburn and Cary Grant.

(although I think Kitty Foyle should sufice for the time being. I havent seen that in a while and it still in its plastic wrap)

ETA: The Heiress is apparently out on DVD. I'm so going to Borders tomorrow and buying it.
